I’m sure (?) you’ve never been told, “just one,” or “you pick one.”  Even Panera Bread allows you to pick two!  When you’re looking into schools and jobs, you may start with many, but the end result is one.  Just one.
Understanding how God inspired His writers to convey His thoughts that we might know Him is both precious and humbling, often phrased as “the fear of the LORD.”  It may be a poem or lyrics to a song, or the record of history or experience, but the part recorded reveals God’s heart-love for us through Jesus as Son (just a reminder).
“The one thing (just one) I ask of the LORD,” penned the warrior king, “the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in His Temple.”  His presence.
Father, “You will conceal me when troubles come; You will hide me in Your sanctuary.  You will place me out of reach on a high rock,” in Your very presence.
